Beat the Backlog 2018

Ever since I read Destiny’s post and then dug further into this mess of backlogged owned books with Avery’s unread shelf I couldn’t quite stop myself from being struck down in horror over the amount of books I’ve bought that I have not read. The visuals inspired by the lovely Greyson Reads

I am combining this with my beat the backlog challenge, to try an motivate myself through the remainder of the year to knock out some of my old TBR! The only good new for me is that I only recently (in the last year) became a ferocious reader, so my owned TBR is manageable and a great place to start beating the backlog. (Go Novel Knights!)

Ahhhh Thank you for the shout out! It makes me so happy that people like my structure ☺️I’m looking forward to seeing how well everyone does by the end of the year!
So far all I’ve done is add more library loans to my TBR 🤦‍♀️

    1. I’m really trying but I have the same problem. I rent books like crazy and feel obligated to read those first! Granted sometimes you have to wait months for the book on Libby, but man I need to just read and never do anything else because I’m SO behind haha!

I’m rationalizing it at the moment since I might be moving states at the end of the year and I’ll lose my state connected libraries. So many libraries! So many books I can loan with just one card! 😭
Ooohhhh Libby is bad for that. It’s always all at once that your loans become available after waiting months for them!
        Same here! If only 💭
